AppBurst Releases Podcast iPhone App Module

Posted by Rob Cartagine on Feb 14, 2010

AppBurst, an iPhone app development company, today announced the release of their new podcast module for iPhone applications.  The new podcast module allows companies to easily include a podcast section as part of any iPhone app created using the AppBurst platform.   AppBurst customers can add a podcast section to their iPhone app simply by configuring the location of any existing podcast feed within the AppManager, AppBursts online iPhone application builder tool.

Within the app, the podcast module displays a scrolling list of episodes that are available from the configured podcast channel.  When a user clicks on an episode within the list view, they navigate to a detailed view for that particular episode which contains the long description of the podcast and a play button to start listening to audio or watch video depending on the type of podcast it is.

Commenting on the new podcast module, Internet radio host and founder of WFO radio, Joe Castello, said: “We are very excited about the iPhone app that AppBurst has developed for WFO radio. By having our blog, live radio stream, and archived shows available as podcasts all within our newly developed iPhone app, our listeners have access to a complete WFO radio portal on their iPhone.”
